SCROLL DOWN
My creative practice is about exploring the connectivity between the mind and its cerebral activities, the dexterity of hands and the malleable material of clay. This process, a transference of thought, emotion and memory into biomorphic forms.
Born 1964 in South Devon, moving north to Manchester at the age of six where I was schooled and then studied graphic design at college. This then became my career for the next 25 years. In my forties life and career profoundly changed due to illness to which I relocated back my birthplace nearly 40 years after leaving it. It was here quite by happenstance that I discovered clay and its exciting creative possibilities. Since then over the past 10 years I have been creating and exhibiting in Devon, London and Venice, my work is also in America and Canada.
Living and creating in Paignton, Torbay.
Married to Las Vegas artist and photographer Regina Lafay Bellamy.

of the late Agatha Christie's summer residence of Greenway situated next to the River Dart. 'The Great Create' showcased artists and sculptors from the Devon region.
UNRESOLVED (2013) and MIND OVER MATTER (2019) examined a desire to understand my own mind. More than therapy or catharsis through art, the sculptures represent an exploration of how we communicate emotions and desires to one another and particularly what place, if any, that art and the artist can have in this process.
