My creative practice is about exploring the connectivity between the mind and its cerebral activities, the dexterity of hands and the malleable material of clay. This process, a transference of thought, emotion and memory into physical biomorphic forms.
Born 1964 in South Devon, moving north to Manchester at the age of six where I was schooled and then studied graphic design at college. This then became my busy career for the next 25 years. In my early forties life and career profoundly changed due to illness, I relocated back my birth-place nearly 40 years after leaving it. Here in Torbay quite by accident I discovered clay and its creative possibilities. So over the past 10 years I have been creating and ocassionally exhibiting my work around the UK, also in Venice, as well as having my work in America and Canada.
I live and create in Paignton and married to digital artist and street photographer Regina Lafay Bellamy: www.rlbellamy.com
